Man’s body found hanging from tree near SW Wash. freeway lanes

VANCOUVER, Wash. – A Clark County sheriff’s spokesman says the body of a man has been found hanging from a tree near the southbound lanes of Interstate 205 in southwest Washington.

The Columbian reports (http://is.gd/LbbfRD ) the “suspicious death” report came in Tuesday afternoon.

Sgt. Duncan Hoss says Washington state Transportation Department workers found the body while clearing brush on the west side of the freeway. Hoss says the body had been there quite a while.

The newspaper says traffic slowed in the area as the State Patrol, Vancouver police and the sheriff’s department responded.

There was no immediate word on the identity of the body.
