No charges contemplated following brawl at New Brunswick hockey game:police

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Police in Saint John, N.B., say no charges are anticipated after a brawl in the stands of a junior league hockey game.

Police spokesman Sgt. Charles Breen says so far, no one has come forward to make a complaint about being assaulted.

Breen says as a result, police have concluded their report and if anything comes to light that requires investigation, the file will be reopened.

Police broke up a fight between players and fans during the semifinal matchup between the local Southern Sting and the Grand Lake Moose at the Lord Beaverbrook Rink on Saturday.

A fan who shot video shows a jerseyed man on skates trading blows with people in the stands.

The video was uploaded to Facebook and garnered nearly 100,000 views as of Sunday.
