This is a special episode of Bamoseda. The program features stories about the effects of Indian residential schools from a first generation residential school survivor conference, which took place in Henvey Inlet First Nation in Ontario. It was the first time the effects of residential school were talked about in the community, and it was a giant step forward for everyone. Survivors of the residential school had the courage to share their stories and so did their children. A psychotherapist talks about the psychological impacts of residential school, and a traditional therapist discusses one her cases and an academic puts residential school in the grander scheme of things.
