Magnesium-rich foods may reduce risk of stroke

If you want to reduce your risk of stroke eat more halibut, spinach, almonds or brown rice.

Those foods are all rich in magnesium.

A review of seven international studies found every 100-milligram increase of the mineral above the average level, cut the risk by nine per cent.

The research is in the February issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
