Hydroplaning on Hwy 101 sends car into river

Police responded to two unrelated car crashes involving hydroplaning on Nova Scotia’s Highway 101 on Saturday.

RCMP say a car caught on fire near Hortonville after it hydroplaned and crashed into an oncoming car.

They say another car was travelling near Lequille when it hydroplaned into a nearby river.

Police say no one was seriously injured.
