HALIFAX – Health Canada has raised health and safety concerns over a number of products sold at Spirit Halloween stores across the country subject to voluntary recall.

The federal regulator said inspections at 45 stores across the country, including its Mic Mac Mall location in Dartmouth, found 23 locations had continued to sell products the company had previously agreed to stop selling or to voluntarily recall because of a number of safety issues.

The entire list of products barred from sale can be found below and includes stringed lights of various colours that pose a fire hazard, various ‘tiki torches,’ with missing hazard labelling, as well as a witch hat and two different colours of angel wings that also pose a risk of fire.
