Winter storm hammers the U.S. East Coast

The big dig out continues along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard and in the Maritimes after a storm hammered the area over the weekend, snarling both air and ground traffic.

Philadelphia received the highest amount of snow at 58 centimetres. Washington and New York City got 41 and 28 centimetres, respectively.

What’s left of the storm is now battering Atlantic Canada.

Meanwhile, at Pearson International Airport in Toronto, there were only a couple of flight cancellations to the eastern U.S. so far on Monday morning.
