HRM asks residents to avoid parking in certain locations as snow clearing continues

HRM will continue to target specific areas of the city to remove snow overnight.
The municipality is asking residents to not park their cars in the following locations from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. from Wednesday to Thursday.
-Portland Street from Wentworth Street to Victoria Road
-Dundas Street from Portland Street to Alderney Drive
-Victoria Road from Portland Street to Octerloney Street
-Queen Street from Dundas Street to Victoria Road
-Barrington Street from Duke Street to South Street
-Gottingen Street from Uniacke Street to Rainnie Drive
-Brunswick Street from Duke Street to Spring Garden Road
-Cul-de-sacs in residential areas serviced by performance-based contractors
Although enforcement of the municipality’s parking ban has been lifted, any vehicles blocking snow clearing operations can be ticketed or towed under Section 139 of the Motor Vehicle Act.
Crews are expected to be out every night this week removing snow as the forecast calls for another possible winter storm this weekend.
