HALIFAX – A bail hearing continues this afternoon at Nova Scotia Supreme Court for William Sandeson.
Sandeson is charged with first degree murder in the death of Dalhousie physics student Taylor Samson.
The crown wrapped up their case against bail this morning and defence lawyer Eugene Tan is expected to cross examine the crown’s final witness before calling two of his own this afternoon.
Outside of court Taylor Samson’s mother Linda Boutilier said she’s just looking for closure, as police have still yet to locate Samson’s body.
“I’m waiting to find my son. The courts can deal with [Sandeson]. I want somebody to help find my son” said a tearful Boutilier.
“I want my son home. If I have to bury him, I have to bury him. All I have his memories. I don’t even have him to hold.
The crown is arguing that Sandeson is a flight risk and should remain behind bars.
It’s not known when Justice Jamie Campbell will make his decision.
