Regional Police briefly diverted traffic on Robie Street between Almon and North streets Tuesday to investigate a potential suspicious package.
Police said a witness reported seeing an unattended backpack in the area, and officers shut down the area as a precaution.
Upon further investigation, the backpack was found to contain “clothing etc.,” according to a release from HRP Sgt. Rob Lowther.
Robie Street was re-opened to traffic early Tuesday evening.
