Pedestrian hit by SUV in crosswalk

A pedestrian was hit by an SUV in a marked crosswalk in Halifax late Thursday afternoon.
A 23-year-old woman was crossing Robie Street at Coburg Road at 3:55 p.m. when a 71-year-old man driving an SUV ran a red light and hit her.
Police say the woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
They say charges are expected for the driver of the SUV.
