Woman’s daughter grabbed in Bayers Lake parking lot

Regional Police are investigating what they call a “suspicious incident” that happened at a parking lot in Bayers Lake.
Around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon, police say a woman left Wal-Mart on Chain Lake Drive with her 20-month-old daughter and a friend.
A man offered to help the woman with the little girl, and when she refused, he grabbed the girl and walked away.
The woman’s friend caught up to the man and took the girl back, then the man got into a parked car and drove off.
He’s described as white, in his 40s, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and a scruffy beard.
He was driving a red four-door sedan.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
