RCMP officer investigated for assault, sex assault

The province’s Serious Incident Response Team is investigating an alleged assault and sexual assault by a male RCMP member.
Both incidents are alleged to have happened during RCMP meetings in Queen’s County near the end of March.
Police say the officer is accused of assaulting a fellow officer on March 24th, and inappropriately touching an RCMP employee the next day.
An internal code of conduct investigation is also underway, and the officer has been suspended with pay pending the conclusion of both investigations.
