On-street parking suspended as Halifax digs out

Halifax Transit has suspended bus, ferry and Access-A-Bus services for the day.

Canada Post has called of mail delivery today in Halifax and parts of Nova Scotia, they say normal delivery will resume where it is safe to do so.

On-street parking has been suspended “until further notice,” according to a release from the municipality.

RCMP and Halifax Regional Police are asking drivers to stay off the roads if possible.

The Halifax Mooseheads have postponed their game against the Moncton Wildcats.

News 95.7 meteorologist Richard Zurawski now says he expects Halifax to get between 40-50 centimetres of snow from this system.
