Collision at new roundabout sends woman to hospital

A 35-year-old man has been ticketed and a 61-year-old woman is in hospital after a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Halifax’s North End.
It happened this afternoon at the intersection of Agricola and Cunard Streets, when police say the woman was crossing Agricola in a crosswalk when she was hit by a car.
Police say the car had been rear-ended by a cargo van, and that driver faces a fine of $233.95 if convicted.
