Police continue search for James Cuthbert

Regional Police continue their search for a missing 71-year-old man from Head of Jeddore.

James Cuthbert left his home Sunday morning.

Police believe he went to the Esso gas station on Cole Harbour Road around noon that day, then the Dartmouth Crossing Canadian Tire around 12:30 p.m.

Cuthbert was last seen Sunday between 1 and 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Home Depot in Dartmouth Crossing.

Police spokesperson Theresa Rath says police are most concerned with where he went after that.

“We’re looking for anyone who may have seen him leaving the Home Depot,” she said.

“No piece of information is too small. It might be the piece of information we need to try to piece together where he may be.”

Rath said there’s no evidence to indicate Cuthbert was the victim of foul play, but police are “very concerned” for him.

“This is so out of character for him not to be in regular contact with his family,” she said.

“It’s highly, highly unusual.”

Cuthbert is described as a white man, six feet tall, 170 pounds, with brown hair and a grey beard.

He was wearing a brown leather “bomber” jacket and brown loafers, along with rimless glasses.

He drives a white, 2012 Toyota Prius with the Nova Scotia Licence Plate number DTV 905.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
