Regional Police have a 28-year-old man in custody after a limousine was allegedly stolen this morning from Dartmouth.
The stretched-out Lincoln Navigator disappeared from its owner’s driveway on Windmill Road sometime after 4 a.m., but wasn’t reported stolen until just before 10 a.m.
Around 7 a.m., someone spotted it driving erratically on Highway 118.
“Following all of that, around 10 o’clock, another officer observed that limo … at North and Oxford [Streets], followed the vehicle until Gottingen Street, where more units assisted,” said police spokesman Const. Pierre Bourdages.
“A traffic stop was conducted without incident, and a 28-year-old male driver was arrested.”
Bourdages says no charges have been laid, and no one was hurt in the incident.
The limo was not damaged.
