Pedestrian suffers serious injuries in Clayton Park

Halifax Regional Police are investigating the third car/pedestrian collision this week.

HRP spokesperson Pierre Bourdages told News 95.7 around 8:30 a.m. police were called to Clayton Park to find a vehicle had struck a pedestrian.

“A 70-year-old man that was crossing at Parkland and Lacewood was hit by a vehicle turning left from Regency Park Drive,” said Bourdages.  “He was taken to the QEII with serious injuries.”

Bourdages said the westbound lanes of Lacewood Drive are closed and traffic is being diverted down Parkland
drive to allow police to conduct their investigation.

Bourdages said it’s too early say if any charges will be laid.
