Shilo Beals, wanted for Bowser murder, arrested in Ontario

Ontario Provincial Police have arrested Shilo Marcino Beals, a Cherry Brook man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection with the 2004 death of Kevin James Bowser.

Beals was arrested Wednesday morning at a home in New Tecumseth, Ont., north of Toronto, and was due to appear in court in Barrie later in the day.

Halifax Regional Police will send officers to Ontario to pick up Beals and return him to Halifax, where he will face first-degree murder and weapons charges in the Bowser investigation.

Bowser was found on July 10, 2004, suffering from gunshot wounds on Uniacke Street. He later died of those injuries.
