Man severely beaten, stabbed on downtown Halifax street

HALIFAX – Police say a man is in hospital after being severely beaten and stabbed on a downtown Halifax street.
Police say they were called to a large disturbance at the intersection of Argyle and Blowers streets around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators say a 28-year-old man was found beaten and bleeding.
They say the man had also been stabbed in the chest area.
He was taken to hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have spoken to several people who were in the area at the time of the assault and the investigation is ongoing.
