18-year-old arrested in Dartmouth stabbing

A man and a woman were taken into custody last night in connection to a Wednesday morning stabbing.

Staff Sgt. Reid McCoombs told News 95.7 the arrests came after a search of a Primrose Street apartment.

“This was in relation to the female that had been stabbed in Dartmouth on the morning of November 6th,” he said.

A delivery driver reported he was approached by a woman bleeding from the back on Wyse Road just after midnight yesterday morning.

“After further investigation the female was released without charges, the male is currently in police custody and will be attending Dartmouth Provincial Court to face charges of assault with a weapon later today,” said McCoombs.

The 31-year-old victim stabbing victim told police her injuries were the result of a confrontation involving two other females.

She is recovering from non-life threatening stab wounds.
