Driver charged after pedestrian hit in marked crosswalk

Halifax police have charged a man after a pedestrian was hit by a car Tuesday morning in Halifax.

Police say around 11:30 a.m. officers were called to the intersection of Robie St. and Inglis St. where a 26-year-old man was hit in a marked crosswalk.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a 21-year-old man has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
