Halifax Regional Police responded to two incidents of teenage boys allegedly carrying around handguns.
At 7:25 p.m. Saturday night, police received a call that a 17-year-old was chasing another man around Herring Cove Road with a handgun. The gun turned out to be a pellet gun, but the teen was taken into custody without incident. Police say he will face weapons and threats related charges.
An hour and a half later, police discovered another 17-year-old with a handgun, this time it was real. Police stopped a vehicle in the area of Gottingen and North Street, and found the teen had a handgun in his possession. He was remanded for court and will face weapons related charges.
No one was hurt in the two incidents.
