If you’re missing those free winter skates along the Emera Oval, now you’ll be able to skate it during the summer.
Starting today, free inline skating is now being offered at the venue, which will include roller skates, helmets, knee pads and elbow pads.
“The 600 inline skates arrived Friday,” said HRM spokesperson Janet Bryson. “The city awarded a $20,000 tender for the skates.”
The first free skate is tonight at 5:30, followed by two skates tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
More than 130,000 people skated the Oval this past winter.
