Arrest made in stabbing death of Dartmouth woman

An arrest has been made in connection to a murder in a Dartmouth apartment over the weekend.

It was about 10:15 p.m. Saturday night when a neighbour called police to the building at 117 Albro Lake Road after hearing a disturbance.

Responding officers found Tara Lynn Park, 33, dead from stab wounds.

Halifax Regional Police Staff Sgt. Bill Morris told News 95.7 police made an arrest at around 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.

“Halifax Regional Police arrested a twenty-eight year-old Dartmouth man in connection to this homicide,” he said. “He’s currently in custody and investigators are questioning him at this time.”

Morris said no charges have been laid yet, but if charges are laid he expected the suspect to make a court appearance later today.

He added the investigation is ongoing, but he doesn’t believe investigators are looking for any other suspects.
