Some cars involved in riot may be saved: ICBC

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Roughly 100 cars were caught up in last month’s Stanley Cup Riot and now it looks like 80 can be saved. Adam Grossman with ICBC says right now 20 cars are complete write-offs but those numbers may change.
“We may see a couple of those repairable vehicles end up as total losses once those assessments are done, but that is the breakdown we are looking at the moment.”
And because several of the cars were high end final totals have yet to be tallied.
Grossman adds they haven’t seen anything suspicious with these claims.
“We do have our own special investigations unit. There are officers assigned to these claims just to ensure everything is above board but no signs so far that we are dealing with anything potentially fraudulent.”
