Grimes’ Claire Boucher cancels European tour due to health issues

TORONTO – Grimes’ Claire Boucher has announced that she’s cancelling all her upcoming European tour dates due to “health issues.”

The Vancouver-raised rising electro star already nixed a handful of Canadian dates earlier this month, tweeting that she was dealing with hearing loss and tinnitus.

She’s had a rough few months.

In August, she had her gear stolen while on tour in Manchester, and in September she said she’d recently sprained both her ankles, tweeting later that the “tour is cursed.”

The 24-year-old had been scheduled to begin her Euro jaunt on Nov. 13 in Bristol before wrapping Dec. 1 in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Boucher pledged to update fans shortly on which shows would be rescheduled.

Her latest record, “Visions,” dropped in January. It was shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize but lost out to Feist’s “Metals.”
