Setup is underway on the Halifax Common for Halifax Rocks 2010.
Workers took to the main field of the Common Monday to begin building the stage for Saturday’s concert, featuring the Black Eyed Peas, and will be on site every day this week from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Concert promoter Harold MacKay tells Metro the setup will be similar to the Rolling Stones concert in 2006, with the back of the stage facing the citadel.
The first performer takes the stage just before 1 p.m. Saturday and the Black Eyed Peas are expected to perform around 8:30.
The lineup includes the Jimmy Swift Band, Hot Hot Heat, Classified and Weezer.
