A Halifax woman is facing a charge following a fraud investigation involving an elderly victim.
Back on May 4th, a 91-year-old women contacted police after noticing irregular financial activities on her credit card statement.
The victim ended up being defrauded of several thousand dollars by a suspect who used her credit card at various locations in Halifax in the last two months.
Police later arrested 65-year-old Brenda Louise Clements and faces a charge of fraud over $5,000.
Clements knew the victim as she had volunteered her time to help the victim with daily activities and errands.
Investigators say they believe there may be more victims defrauded in a similar manner, and are asking those with any information to contact them.
