TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (12,540.77 up 107.24 points):

Uranium One Inc. (TSX:UUU). Miner. Up one cent, or 0.43 per cent, at $2.36 on 7,734,215 shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation. Up nine cents, or 2.39 per cent, at $3.85 on 7,672,113 shares.

Petrobank Energy and Resources Ltd. (TSX:PBG). Oil and gas. Down $11.23, or 90.56 per cent, at $1.17 on 6,700,827 shares. First trading day since the company completed a major reorganization. The company, now referred to as New Petrobank, announced on Monday it had completed the spinoff of its 57 per cent stake in PetroBakken Energy Ltd. (TSX:PBN), a light oil-focused company.

Labrador Iron Mines Holdings Ltd. (TSX:LIM). Miner. Up 35 cents, or 31.82 per cent, at $1.45 on 6,077,042 shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Financial services. Up 16 cents, or 1.18 per cent, at $13.67 on 4,072,191 shares.

Research in Motion (TSX:RIM). Wirelesss technology. Down 23 cents, or 1.95 per cent, at $11.57 on 3,299,211 shares.

TSX Venture Exchange (1,239.84 up 18.54 points):

Alberta Oilsands Inc. (TSXV:AOS). Oil and gas. Up two cents, or 40 per cent, at seven cents on 7,144,716 shares.

Guardian Exploration Inc. (TSXV:GX). Oil and gas. Unchanged at 3.5 cents on 3,589,970 shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Pure Technologies Ltd. (TSX:PUR). Pipeline inspection. Unchanged at $4.59 on 13,492 shares. The company has been awarded contracts in Canada and the United States worth almost $3 million. One of the contracts, with Louisville Water Co., could be worth up to $10.2 million if four, one-year options are exercised by the Kentucky utility.
