Pay packets for Emera, NSP bosses rise in 2009

The CEO of Nova Scotia Power’s parent company took home more than $2 million in pay last year.
According to the Herald, Chris Huskilson received a salary, bonus and stock options worth $2.2 million dollars – about $200,000 than in 2008.
His base salary is about $649,000 while the bonus was nearly $700,000. Stock options added another $843,000.
The president of Nova Scotia Power also took home more in 2009 than the year before. Rob Bennett’s total pay in 2009 was $751,000 compared to $387,000 in 2008.
Huskilson says the company had a very good year thanks to new investments and a strong showing on the stock market.
