New Finance Minister on same page as predecessor

Nova Scotia’s new Finance Minister is singing from the same songbook as the old one, and the name of the tune is ‘Back to Balance’.
The day after being sworn in to replace Graham Steele, Maureen MacDonald said the government values provincial services, but still recognizes those services have to be delivered in a fiscally responsible framework.
“The path that the government is on will continue,” said MacDonald after the freshly-shuffled Darrell Dexter cabinet met Thursday. “Getting back to balance is a core priority of this government, and living within our means.”
MacDonald says it’s her plan to continue on the work of Graham Steele, but first she has to get settled.
“Look, I haven’t been to my office yet,” said MacDonald.
