People with egg allergies can receive flu shot

Anyone who is allergic to eggs can get his or her flu shot after all.
The flu vaccine is made in chicken eggs and historically, people with an allergy to eggs have long been told they can’t get the annual vaccine.
But, a series of recent studies looked at the issue found the shots can be safely given to people who have egg allergies.
The new advice relates to injectable flu shots only — the most common form of flu vaccine.
