Police confirmed the man in the car was the suspect in the death, and that he had a gun. Crisis negotiators tried to coax him out of the vehicle.

Police cordoned off a wide are around the vehicle as a precaution.

The standoff ended just before 6:00 p.m. when the man shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
