Tigres edge out Mooseheads 3-2 in final game of Halifax homestand

HALIFAX – The Halifax Mooseheads lost the final game of their three game homestand, as the Victoriaville Tigres edged out the Herd 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.

The Mooseheads got off to a slow start, giving up two power play goals with Victoriaville’s Ivan Kosorenkov and Pascal Laberge scoring in the first and second period, respectively.

Halifax would end their scoreless drought, as Nico Hischier sniped back-to-back goals within two minutes to tie it up early in the third period.

But Alexandre Goulet helped Victoriaville regain the lead, scoring the game winner near the midway point of the final period to give the Tigres the 3-2 victory.

On Tuesday, the Mooseheads head back out on the road to take on the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
