HALIFAX – The Halifax Mooseheads extend their win streak to three games in a row, defeating the Saint John Sea Dogs 4-1 at the Scotiabank Centre on Saturday.

The Herd shut out the Sea Dogs in the first period, with Otto Somppi and Maxime Fortier each lighting the lamp to give Halifax an early 2-0 lead.

Spencer Smallman put Saint John on the board early in the second, but not long before Frederic Aube responded, with help from Fortier and Arnaud Durandeau, to make it 3-1 Halifax.

Swiss sensation Nico Hischier sealed the deal for Halifax, scoring an empty net goal with 1:57 left in the final period.

Blade Mann-Dixon put on a goaltending clinic as he made 46 saves during the evening.

On Sunday, the Mooseheads make their way to Saint John to take on the Sea Dogs.
