Police nab 16-year-old after a series of car break-ins

Scott Simpson Mar 08, 2010 14:32:23 PM
The Mounties used the keen nose of a canine officer to track down a suspect after a series of vehicle break-ins in Lower Sackville.

RCMP got a call about three teens grabbing loot from cars on Tillock Drive around 4:15 a.m. Saturday.

The responding officers found three people running down Prince Street. The suspects fled in separate directions, but the canine officer tracked one to a wooded area behind the Rubber Duck car wash.

The teenager had a backpack full of stolen goods.

The 16-year-old was released, and is due in youth court next month.
