RCMP seek public's help finding missing man

Ruth Davenport Mar 08, 2010 08:24:50 AM
RCMP are asking for the public to help find a 71-year-old missing man in the Kelly Lake area.

Brian Davidson was driving to Halifax Stanfield Airport around 1:30 Sunday afternoon on Highway 102 when he got into an argument with a family member in the car. Police say Davidson pulled over and got out of the car on the shoulder near Kelly Lake and started walking towards the airport.

The family member got behind the wheel, left to get gas and returned to find Davidson on the other side of the highway walking towards Lower Sackville. He refused to get in the car again and the driver left.

Davidson was reported missing at 6:30 Sunday evening.

RCMP have checked local hotels and K9 units have searched both sides of the highway without finding any trace of Davidson. He was last seen wearing a leather jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call their local RCMP detachment or police.
