Man recovering from leg wound after shooting in North Preston

Major crime investigators are looking for suspects after a shooting in North Preston.  

RCMP Sgt. Allan Mann tells News 95.7 police received reports of shots fired on Donald Lane, off Simmonds Road, around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

"One male received a single gunshot to the leg after being confronted by a group of persons," he said. "The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Mann says police are still in the process of gathering evidence and don't have any suspects in mind just yet.

He says investigators are looking for witnesses, and anyone with information can contact Halifax RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
