N.S. gas prices edge up less than a penny, diesel falls

News 95.7 Staff Jan 27, 2012 06:21:45 AM
We thought there was room for a small increase in gas prices this week, and that's exactly what we got.

The UARB has raised the price of self-serve by 0.8 a litre today, pushing regular self-serve up to $1.301 in metro.

Diesel prices have fallen 1.6 cents a litre to $1.339.

At this time last year, drivers in metro were paying about $1.15 a litre for gas and $1.20 for diesel. Oil was selling for $89.34 U.S. a barrel, about ten dollars below Thursday's close of $99.70 U.S.
