Man's body found by police after weapons complaints

Jason White Feb 08, 2010 05:43:26 AM
Police say the suspicious death of a man in a home in North Preston is a homicide.

Investigators were still outside the home on Downey Road, early Monday morning.

20-year-old Casey Marleen Downey was found dead by police, Sunday morning.  Police say they got two 911 calls about weapons at the home, shortly before 6:30 a.m.

"When our members arrived on scene, there was a deceased male confirmed at the scene," RCMP Cst. Tamu Bracken told News95.7.  "The RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit (is) investigating."

Cst. Bracken confirms they're treating this case as a homicide.

Police haven't revealed how Downey died.

Investigators have been canvassing the area, but it's not known how much co-operation they're receiving.

No arrests have been made.
