Charges pending following suspicious death in Lower Sackville

Seventeen-year-old will be in court on Monday

Doug Cogswell Feb 06, 2010 08:47:03 AM

Police are getting ready to lay a charge of second degree murder against a seventeen-year-old in connection with  Friday's suspicious death in Lower Sackville.

The teen is currently being held in the forensic unit at the IWK Children's Hospital, and police have confirmed he's the man who smashed a silver Saturn Astra into several vehicles in the Lower Sackville neighbourhood of Millwood.

He'll appear in court on Monday.

Constable Tamu Bracken with the RCMP says police won't confirm a relationship between the victim and the teen.

"Because positive identification has not been made on the female we can't determine if there is a relationship between the 17-year-old and the female." said Bracken.

The investigation is continuing and police are still examining the scene at 20 Hewer Crescent.
