Premiers come together over H1N1
Canada's premiers say the rollout of the swine flu vaccine could have been better handled across the country. The premiers talked about H1N1 during a conference call yesterday. They said they're working together to tackle the situation, but offered up little in the way of new details. Saskatchewan's Brad Wall, speaking on behalf of the leaders, said there may be common ideas for dealing with the pandemic. "If there's something that's common to all of us that maybe we could advance right now that would be helpful," Wall said "We need to have a dialogue, not just between the provinces, but one that includes the federal government." He added that those talks will happen reasonably soon. Millions of Canadians have received the swine flu shot, but there have been long lines at clinics because of a vaccine shortage and confusion over who should get the shot first. |
