Officials say they're ready for posssible messy weather
The province says it's ready, if Friday's Nor'easter comes in as forecast. However after last year's fiasco on the Cobequid Pass, Cathy MacIssac with the deparment says crews are now ready, for November 1. And they'll be keeping an extra close eye on the Cobequid Pass. Safety rule number one, if you don't have to go out, don't. However if you must, metro's top traffic cop, Sgt. Mike Spearns says you need to drive according to the conditions. "Drivers that are impatient, they get ahead of three cars, they bump into a vehicle and four cars are off he road." He adds, just because you have winter tires, you're not invincible. |
