Testing ongoing on H1N1 vaccine
While the H1N1 flu shots are slowly doled out, there is a study going on in Halifax to see how the shots are affecting people. Darlene Baxindale is an IWK research coordinator, her group is testing children and adults. So far they've checked in with 20 kids between six months and nine-years-old and 40 adults 19 to 40-years-old who've never had a flu vaccine before. "How does the injection site look? Any redness? Any pain? Any swelling?" says Baxindale. "We're going to get them to check their temperature, let us know generally how they feel, any headaches, any malaise."
