Study: A quarter of Canadians admit to drinking and driving

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – One in four Canadians admit they drove drunk last year.

Those are the findings of a startling study released by BCAA. That despite a recent poll that finds 98 per cent of Canadians consider drinking and driving unacceptable.

Jeff Walker with the Canadian Automobile Association says, “People know they shouldn’t drink and drive, but an alarming number of us still do .. The temptation is highest at this time of year, but Canadians need to listen to their conscience and not drink and drive.”

The people who are most likely to fess up are men, people under 35, and those living in Quebec.
