Man injured in hit and run on Halifax waterfront boardwalk

Halifax Regional Police say a man was not seriously hurt after being hit by a car Sunday evening.

Police were called out to the waterfront boardwalk around 7:30 p.m. where officers found the 19-year-old suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car fled the scene, but the 22-year-old man was arrested in Hammonds Plains Sunday night.

The man remained in police custody as of Monday morning, although there was no word on any charges against him.
