Police continue investigation of 15-year-old homicide

WYSES CORNER, N.S. – Police are asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate a 15-year-old homicide.

On October 14, 2002, at approximately 5:30 p.m., two hunters discovered human skeletal remains, later identified as the 33-year-old Laura Lee Cross, off a logging road on Old Guysborough Road near Dollar Lake Provincial Park.

She was last seen on July 12, 2001 and reported missing the following month. At the time of her disappearance, she had been living at 18 Middle Street in Dartmouth.

RCMP say the homicide has been added to the Nova Scotia Reward for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, and anyone with information on this case is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers.
