Mooseheads fall to Remparts 3-2 in OT

HALIFAX – The Halifax Mooseheads lost their first home game of the season, falling to the Quebec Remparts 3-2 in OT on Friday night.

After a scoreless first period, both teams picked up the pace in the second with Filip Zadina scoring his fourth of the season at the 3:38 mark.

Quebec responded near the end of the second with Olivier Mathieu sneaking one passed Blade Mann-Dixon.

Mooseheads’ captain Maxime Fortier scored his fifth of the season, giving Halifax a 2-1 lead at the 7:27 mark of the final period.

The Remparts responded once again, forcing overtime where they managed to seal a 3-2 OT victory.

On Sunday, the Mooseheads wrap up their homestand when they welcome the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada to the Scotiabank Centre.
