Highway 102 closure causes traffic headaches after driver suffers medical emergency

HALIFAX – Police have re-opened a section of Highway 102 outbound after a truck driver had a medical emergency on Thursday afternoon.

Police closed the highway between the Kearney Lake and Larry Uteck exits for roughly two hours and announced it was re-opened just before 5:30 p.m., but that it may need to be closed again later as their investigation continues.

Police said the driver was taken to hospital and the truck itself is to be seized as part of their investigation.
